I wonder if any of Edd Byrnes close friends has called him yet wondering if he was there. This car is still warming hearts. Thanks Norm!

Norm would say "what's all the fuss about?"
Just a guess, he was a showman, who had a humble side!

A huge Congrats to Mr. Myers for a job well done. If I would had a little change in my pocket when the auction was done I would have tried everything possible to get the car and would have done the same thing Mr. Myers done.
    Damn it looks nice.

  5. Here's the video with the three Hotrods that won. The Hotrods are at about 2:36:00 inthe video. I would have thought the Kookie car would have won the Dean Bachelor award, not the nickle car.

Noticed all of the snaps around the body that appear to be for a tonneau cover. Yet, I’ve Never seen a photo of one on the car. Anyone have info?

I am wondering re the norms t what might be the longest it has ever traveled as I would think it is subject to overheating due to small radiator, the way it is plumbed and I thought it had no fan? Anyone have an idea on this?

That’s big! I still wonder how it does even with that fan! It is a fan!

I posted the old Brizio family album snapshot on the Photoshop thread and requested a bit of color correction. The Moose came through with this version. tapatalk_1566585023749.jpeg

By looking at the photos the restored car's radiator is hanging down a little more than the original I think. So maybe a different and bigger one was used. Norm told me one time when waiting in a long line of traffic to get into a drive inn he would have to shut the car off and get out a push it by hand until he got to the entrance.

  29. It wasn’t there today (Friday) ... and I doubt it will be on Saturday or Sunday.

NOTE: It was behind ropes at the Roy Brizio Street Rods shop when the “Gary Meadors Memorial Hot Rod Week” tour stopped for lunch at Roy’s shop on Tuesday afternoon:
