I found this video on u-joint angles and driveshaft phasing. Something to beware of when setting up your driveline. The same principals would apply to your steering when using u-joints.

Ease off on the criticism......;).....not everyone saw the video previously and we constantly have new members that need to know these principles.

A jumpy drive shaft isn't a bad thing after all.

'Beaner, WTF over? You beat me posting a dickhead remark. Understand I say that with all due affection bud...;)

In other news, that vid is always helpful to share, especially for the newbs who've finally "seen the light" of early hot rods.

  13. Some of those driveshaft threads last year went on for 10 pages.
"Down is up", "Up is down" , etc.
It would have been easy to skip through a bunch of it. Of course, that never seems to stop people from commenting anyway.:(

  14. It is useful. Seems odd that it took an engineer to figure out what every 15 year old kind in American knew 50 years ago. LOL

When I got confused and it should be simple enough is when the pinion is above the tail shaft. For some reason my mind just does not want to wrap around that. My brain says just turn it down instead of up, but my other brain says, "Naw that'll never work"

It probably depends on whether you are in shipping or receiving.
