Dragster frames........picture thread.

here are a couple of my friends Dan Tuttle in Idaho of an A/Fuel dragster that he is finishing up.

 

Berresfordracing asked about a Chassis Research frame. I'll go on record as saying I believe the rusty frame that was found in the, and used as a pattern, was probably a TE-440. BUT, as is easily seen, they took some liberties with the drivers area.
The attached photos clearly show the frames, in Scotty's shop in the late 50's.

 

I sure would like to buy a copy of the January 1968 Drag Racing with the dragster chassis article.

great pictures of an old Chassis Research TE440 car.....only issue is that the front spring was added later, car came with front end as pictured..........
