Dragster frames........picture thread.

    here are a couple of my friends Dan Tuttle in Idaho of an A/Fuel dragster that he is finishing up.

  2. Berresfordracing asked about a Chassis Research frame. I'll go on record as saying I believe the rusty frame that was found in the, and used as a pattern, was probably a TE-440. BUT, as is easily seen, they took some liberties with the drivers area.
    The attached photos clearly show the frames, in Scotty's shop in the late 50's.

    Is the on nearest the engine a puke tank?

    great pictures of an old Chassis Research TE440 car.....only issue is that the front spring was added later, car came with front end as pictured..........

    Kiwi Kev - Great scans, thanks. Do you have scans of the Ultimate Gasser article from that Hot Rod book? I know I still have that book here somewhere... Bought it new...Doggone clutter... mumble mumble... crap everywhere dangit...
