Hemi Squirrel, are you going to sign up? I'm in. Working on the Hemi coupe getting ready for Midwest Drags as a Drag Week warm up.

Now that I'm half-assed retired I should be able to get over to Byron to spectate. First time for me, looking forward to it. Do they have camping at the track?

  6. Yes. The racing starts around 7am. By 3pm it's all done. The show needs to move down the road to the next location.

  8. I live near Byron, but will be out of town.

Plan on spectating at Norwalk on my way to a wedding in Richmond on Saturday.

  9. Wow people still use map quest? I guess it's not that crazy. Dad still uses paper maps. Good for when you already know your general direction haha

    yeah, it has.

From what I can tell from a few posts on fb about registration, is that they first sent emails to all the 400 folks who had signed up last year, with a link to sign up for this year. Then after a couple weeks, they started sending emails to the folks on the wait list, with the lowest numbers, so they could sign up. My guess is they'll continue to do that until all 400 spots are taken. So, those of us with high wait list numbers, and the general public, will never even get to try to register this year.

    Oh well....

As a adult I never drag race, "holy crap I might break a u-joint" That would cost me $15!

Watching @squirrel adventures with drag week and other adventure ... He is such a great story teller then dresses for the part :D
I wish squirrel had a youtube chan, he would be great at it. Might be a thought while is grounded at home with responsibilities.

@racer-x no youtube for you, you are already to busy with the hospital and where you are needed. I love to watch you run.

Along with others here, just love to watch you get out there and do the best you can on the track ... then the long haul to the next track at the end of the day. Almost like the ironman 1000 race or something to test your endurance. Simply 1 life adventure after another.

Sad that Tom Bailey car burnt up because of a o-ring ... Racing is tough ... I also thought was sad when @racer-x hit the wall.

I blame my infatuation of watching Alex Taylor filming her father Dennis Taylor building Tom Bailey new drag week car on @squirrel.
Thats what I tell my wife anyways ... :D

I do not race, I will not travel, I sure love drag week and hope someone records it for us.

little bump. Only a few weeks away.

If I can get away from home....I plan to drive up to Michigan by myself, and see if I can get in.

    Should be a fun trip.

  20. ...I'll be at Byron watching whoever shows up,...hoping for perfect weather.

I was accepted to Hot Rod Drag Week but I decided to enter Rocky Mountain Race Week instead. Now I may not get into that event because of a computer glitch. Just my luck.
