  3. I feel the hambers all did a good job. Tricky steve and cheryl made it out this year. They are hooked. Hemi joel did great. Mike finished second or third. Most of all we helped each other and had a lot of fun making memories that last a life time. Congrats jim.

Quick tip. If you wanna get recognized by a Hamber, gotta have the right active wear. I was sporting the awesome @Saxxon shirt I picked up at Meltdown. Jim noticed right away at Indy and promptly asked me if I had a tach on me. Haha.

I must admit, I immediately felt unprepared.

Arlo was ready to race the wagon.

    You do that shirt justice.
Swing by the Canadian pits next year and I'll have a shirt for Arlo...

Well done Jim... You're my hero buddy

  12. that's how you keep a kid off drugs and out of a jail cell. giving a kid a chance to dream of one day having their own hot rod. a kid that has a mind busy being stimulated by all things mechanical from transmissions and engines to wiring will be too busy to get with the wrong crowd. kids love to keep their hands and minds busy. with all of the bad things in this world that kids are exposed to I think that working on hot rods in the garage is a safe place for them to grow up.

I got home last night, rolled the car off the trailer this morning. went for a drive, second gear works fine at part throttle. I guess I'll wait a little bit before I take it apart and go through the trans. I have to catch up on a lot of other stuff right now!

  17. I don't remember which track this was but this is the Aquamino waiting for the track to dry in staging, the Caddy in front of me ran 208MPH at Ohio Mile and was 10.3 quarter mile all week long, really nice guys.

I think Michigan was the only place with trees near the staging lanes...and clouds....

Hot Rod sends out the Jackets after a while. They're usually 6-8 months behind.

So you do all that work for a jacket, but waits 6-8 month for it?
That is the sign of a true hot rodder! And a talented and patient one at that.

the caddy is wild. My co pilot has a 59 ford truck with a 500 in it, he was all over the black car, getting ideas how to make his Caddy motor work better.

  23. The co-pilot of the Caddy said he only did 205 because he didn't want to go faster than the owner, that was pretty funny. It had a flip nose and custom fiberglass hood. He has full belly pans and underneath aero for LSR.

There was also a 35?? Ford Truck that has run B'Ville and other LSR along with Drag week this year. The Blue one with the steam coming out of the bed all the time. I didn't catch his times though.

37 ford truck, from the results:

    Tom Ciancitto Yes 1937 Ford F1 Pickup Blue 9.618 144.94 9.498 145.7 9.366 143.8

The Yes means he was out, didn't finish the event. sure when quick, while it lasted!
