fun first day. I ran 10.34 which is good. couple other hamb guys, Mike only got a 11.85 out of the Ford with the old Henry J motor. Tyler made a pass, don't know how fast. we all made the drive, no problems, aside from the normal navigation fun.

  7. Watching the live feed and seeing all the fast cars sure is humbling, the announcers don't even get excited about an 8 second pass anymore !

Jim, 10 second car was a race car when I was young, 16 in 1964 and there were not any 10 second Street cars other than in the BS stories. It's amazing how fast some of the cars on the tour you are on, got to be a blast, big time fun ! Good for you , hope you win your class, Good Luck and be safe !

thanks! yeah the cars these days are amazing. It's a grueling ordeal, but when you finish, you know you did something.

    turning into a race! :)

( the first et/mph is day 2, second one in yellow is average of day 1 and day 2. The average is what counts towards winning)

car has been fantastic, no issues. but it's a chore driving on the rutted two lanes with the bias tires, etc. I'll make it.

today's action, starts at the 1:02:10 mark?

Would taking the hood off hurt aerodynamics more than the loss of weight would help the ET?

Try taping up seams on the body - anything easy to do to smooth things up will help at the top end.

aerodynamics don't seem to be much of an issue on this thing. Weight is weight, 30 lbs is about 3 hundredths.
