Did Chevy make any drag race type options for the 64 Impala like they did with the Z11 in 63?

Not that I remember. The focus that year was on the Match Race Malibu's running the '63 Z11 combo.

Nope, although Chevrolet motor division was planning on developing a Mark II daytona 427 (or mystery motor) as a drag package on the Chevelle for '64. Some Z-11 driver's like strickler spoke about this in their interviews in 1963 though as mentioned above GM pulled the plug on all racing activities and that was that. Both Ford and Mopar had a free for all at the 1964 Pomona Winternationals.

  5. Don't recall ANY full size 64 Chevies on the circuit, privateers went to big block Chevelles to compete with smaller Thunderbolts, Comets and MoPars.
