    Looks like the 42 car has a nose made from a belly tank, makes you wonder if it is an ols lakster? and,
    That prop powered car...................er....................well.
    I think its cool, wonder how quick it went............................or didnt went?

    That "Fireman's Quickie" Funny Car is still laying around here in Australia it was a Steve Pluger chassis that had the top chassis rails wider that the lower rails.

  25. I was lucky to see this car in action back in the day and it's current restoration. It was at a match race at Pocono Drag Lodge with Jake King's Thunderbolt. Think the Chevy came out on top that day. What I most remember was the big Impala pulling the front wheels at the launch. Over the past few years I was able to meet both the driver Larry Wilson and the current owner/restorer who told me he found it in Northern VA where it had once been street driven. Both these men are very approachable and great story tellers. Larry Wilson's driving career was only a couple seasons but thanks to both those guys for the memories. The car made an easy pass at Beaver Springs last summer but what a sight that was. Love to see those front tires in the air one more time.
