Some pictures from the 63 Winternationals #6 Is Ramchargers its not in motion but in the pits at Winternats. Also the color pixs are of a Devin bodied car dated Mar 64. I believe is this is the same car in photo #3.

If the not-in-motion photos are inapropriate to the theme of thread I'll remove them.

  2. Yeah, We had this Logghe chassis and body that we first ran the early model thats in our Hilton Family woody car. This was probably 4 or 5 years ago at Edgewater in Cincy at the end of the track... Made a short pass, not enuff to hang the laundry out. Goggles off at the end of the track coming to a stop. I like this picture because besides the snout bracket for an aircraft starter theres nothing to say that it couldnt be 1967. Maybe the later style enderle as opposed to the early two hole shower nozzle hat gives it away, but nevertheless...
That car is hanging in a museum of sorts now on the east side of cincinnati... Might have to resurrect it one day. Neat car.

Thanks Rich, I wish someone would clone the Tony Waters roadster for the Cacklefest. It's always been my favorit...

    Stlouisgasser / 296 Ardun,

I have read an article somewhere years ago about his Fiat, maybe it was in Hot Rod Magazine. Correct me, but I believe it was a Fiat body on a 32 Ford frame. I was just curious about the engine - what camshaft and displacement, etc. I remember it ran in the 10's. Tremendous car - I wonder if it still exists.

Hopefully someone will scan and post the article. I need to dig out the "Hot Rod Story" video, I believe there is some footage of it at Lion's.

    Thanks,

I figured I'd throw this in here since a lot of you guys are photographers.

I'm trying to find out if photographer R F Bissell is still alive, and if anyone knows how to contact him (or his family)?

If so, please reply to this thread I started.

If my memory serves me right (and sometimes it doesn't!) Jazzy ran a '34 Ford frame, probably one of the first Fiat-bodied drag cars....He hole-sawed the frame for lighter weight, and moved everything back, understood weight transfer....All I remember about his flathead was that it was Edlebrock-equipped, think it was 3/8X3/8 but don't remember the details, though I think he ran an Isky cam, ran 132 at 10.90 for fastest coupe at the '55 Nationals...hope this helps

    296ardun,

Thanks for the information. I was impressed with the car - as you stated - one of the first Fiat bodied drag cars, weight-transfer, light-weight and fast. I am curious about the engine - I am running a 3/8 x3/8 with early speed equipment - Winfield camshaft, and Evans heads and manifold in my 40 coupe. I was wanting to compare internals of the engine to what I am running. Hopefully someone will post and scan the Hot Rod magazine article about the car.

    Thanks again,
