    hey randy was laveren hemphing part of the team with charley,he was just back at work and dropped off a pile of drag news for recycling on tuesday with dubsey, i bet he might have a few old pics from back in the day,some stories to tell too!

    Does anybody know if this car was blue and white like the '66? I want to do a painting of it.

    Lavern wasn't a part of the 39 Studebaker team. He was in the service at that time. After he came home from overseas he got hooked up with Charlie Garrett and they bought the 33 willys coupe and ran that in c/gas untill the early seventies.
    The picture on the far right shows (believe it or not) Lavern on the far left ,and Charlie Garrett on the far right on the ramp truck late 60's early 70's
    Here's also a shot of Charlie and Lavern with the 33 Willys frame and the Corvette that they campained after the Willys.

  23. Good old Ferd was the guy who knocked me off the "Top Dog" list in '63. Years later was one of our best customers at Ai Fiberglass with his '63 Vette.
