Still catching up on this thread - viewing thousands of fantastic pics takes a while! I'm not sure just what it is about certain photographs, but some have a way of really drawing you in. This is one example that I sat and stared at for a bit. The photographer got a great shot of man and machine - it doesn't take a "big name" car and/or driver to capture that emotion in a photograph. Not trying to stir anything up, but I've got to give a tip of the hat to the some of the photographers that have taken these great shots! Without them, there would be no History Drag cars in motion picture thread. Thanks!

Sorry this is not a Drag Car in motion but this is what 800 odd pages of cool cars has done to one Aussie fan (Crewman) he has spent so much time with his right arm on the desk attached to the mouse that he now has gout in his elbow. I took this on Saturday night at our Nostalgia event.
I guess this is proof that Drag Racing can be dangerous :D

I got my hands on a bunch of Eastern Drag News from late 63 through 65.They are courtesy of Don,the metal maestro at Ol 55/East Coast Chevy.I spent a bunch of the winter scanning lots of pages and covers. Some killer stuff here.
The paper started out as Mid- Eastern Drag News,in 64 went to Eastern Drag news.To all the guys that were racing on the right coast back then this was a must buy when at the track. The left coast guys are represented by the early touring pros that came East looking to kick some ass.
I thought about starting a new thread but it would be hard not to put it on this great thread started by Royalshifter. To everyone that has contributed, thank you.The wife tells me I live in the past.I prefer that.
I am going to try to post all the scans, will take time cause I do work and am way behind in the garage projects.Actually,I am amazed this scan came out big.I have been trying to get the hang of this pic posting/resizing down and it has been really been a hassle.Weeks of trying and getting P.O.I just sat down and tried for the bazillionth time to try to post and it seemed to work.Hope I can remember how to do it again.
The 1st cover is from Aug 16,1963.I will try to do the scans in order. Most are cars in motion but there are some pages of neat ads, drag strip results mostly of South Glens Falls,Lebanon Valley,Dover and other tracks that happened to be on the same page.Pretty much northeast results.
    Hope you guys enjoy.
