History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

This is the best shot of the 15OZ Coupe I ever saw.
All the others I've seen have been from the left rear at night.
Is this/was this a real competition car?
I read some verbage about it when "Nitro Central" was still alive.
I need some education here.
What's the significance of the "15oz." ?

My memory is fuzzy at best, in regards to the 15 oz. Seams like it was a competitor? or descendant? of one called the 16 oz T or 16 oz T-Bone. Same guys later ran a fiat body car called 11 oz.

 

That 5 window coupe in b&w photo has to be my alltime favorite, Im not that much into those, but this one. Me like alot. Any history on that car? What kind of grill is it? MMM sweet.

Hi Phil. Being new here, I thought I'd better ask. Don't want to step on any toes. They are all lane shots, like the Batto shot though. If anybody has a problem with me posting them, speak up. If not, I'll put up some later.
