Steve Reyes identifies the pic (and he took it) as the Hawaiian 2 on his recollection story of Bakersfield 1967. Most guy were still running 392's in 67. I'm stumped. So who is it? OK THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! I keep thinking it must be a Keith Black hemi, but cannot recall any in 67! The Hilborn 4 holers were not used by very many teams then. As for the El Camino, I keep thinking Gene Adams for some reason, but his cars didn't look like that. Must be a local SoCal racer, it just doesn't compute! I was a teen in Oregon then, helmet means zip! Like the guy in Magnum Force, "I gots to know!".
