    Thanks, Denny...(Raymond added an extra hoop to the standard Chassis Research TE-440, probably a good idea as there was little head protection in the middle)...

  19. I know he had one more to climb back into a dragster they use today in the NHRA go that awesome speed.

    I believe that's Jack Chrisman. I know he wadded up a Funny Car and had a bad fire somewhere. I've seen this picture before, a long, long time ago, but I can't remember if it was his car or somebody he was driving for.

    It is Jack, at Gainesville. He got out of the car ok, but because it had lots of magnesium, the fire kept on burning, burned all night. That's why it is such a mess in this shot.

    It was the GT-1 Logghe chassis Comet roadster--that is why is has the altered style roll bar rather than the full cage in the other factory backed Comets.
