My 40 pickup is running a 4.3 Chevy V-6 (pre balance shaft) engine, The engine seems to be in great shape and has plenty of power for this small truck but I'm trying to reduce the vibration in the truck at idle. I did have issues with exhaust clearance and an improperly designed motor mount causing some contact between the engine and frame. I have corrected those issues but I'm hoping to further isolate the engine vibration.

Has anyone here used the braided stainless exhaust flex couplings? I'm thinking of trying that next. I know this would require adding an additional hanger for each head pipe since they won't be hung from the exhaust manifolds any more.

I'm just curious about the couplings' ability to isolate engine vibration from the exhaust system.

    Thanks for your input!
