Door latch removal

any one have information on how to get the door latch out of a '46 dodge truck door? this thing is kicking my butt, have it loosened up but just no wiggle room to get it out. window channel is in the way

 

ok for all that may have these trucks in case the spring breaks, you need to break the spot weld on the lower window rail to be able to giva ya enough room to remove the latch mechanism assembly....

 

Most cars you are going to have to remove or at least loosen the window channel to remove the latch. HRP

 

i've had some you had wiggle room to get around it, i never had one i had to snap off the spot welds to do it no other way to loosen it up or move it enough.
