Door art, what type of paint?

I think I'm ready to put some lettering on the side of my pickup, but I'm not sure what type of paint to use.

What kind of paint can I use and where can I find it?

I want to hand brush paint some letters. I've done some small letters with Testors Acrylic Enamel and it looked good and lasted for as long as I had the car without fading or anything. And it was always outside. This time I want to do much larger letters though. I do not want to spray paint. I went to Micheals thinking they may have something. I found "Acrylic" but it didn't smell like something that would hold up in the weather. I imagine you can just use a quart of lacquer but it's too thin and will run if you brush paint it. Also, I'm not sure how lacquer will adhere to acrylic enamel.

So is there something I can buy that's a little thicker for hand painting?

Another vote for One Shot sign painter's enamel.

It's the only paint I would ever use!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post pictures when it is done.

    Thanks Jimbo

I'll have to check in with them and see what they've got. Thanks again.
