Shock - obvious, but are the brakes on the wrong side of the axle? Shouldn't they be on the leading edge of the rotor? Sorry to answer a question with a question
Shocks definatly look weird! They should be mounted outside the frame and more verticle. It's an easy fix though.
How about the brake line going through the frame and coming straight out to the caliper? the way it is it's just too complicated (un-necessary) the way the line runs. Might as well take the shocks off as at that angle they are useless. Frank
Shocks are not doing anygood at that angle. The brakeline really should be moved but the rest looks ok
I read some where, any angle more than 45'. for a shock ( thats on a non eliptic ark) is not acceptable.
A shock mounted beond a 75 degree angle seems pretty useless and that is like 25 degrees, pretty wierd, to me.
the guy is a busy liittle builder .those pics were today . he's got all new so cal shit under the front of the car and on his way to the rear of the car .
moot point now, but I don't understand why the previous builder didn't just switch sides with the bottom shock mount. At least it wouldn't be quite as much of an angle, but looks to me it would be real easy to build a shock mount or use like f1 mounts to place it more verticle. Brake line looks a bit taut to me. Too much kink.
The biggest problem with the brakeline is the big air-bubble hump in the line. Whoever did this must have never ever looked underneath any car before. The stock style bracket mounted under the frame would be just peachy and correct too. Ditto for the dufus shock mounting situation. Easy to fix, stupid that you have to.
Shock looks good to me. If you take a corner at 150 mph, you'll be glad those babies are there to help the body roll!-MIKE
