Trying to buy the front 50" or so of 32 Ford frame rails (aftermarket). Called JW and they dont sell them. Anyone make them, or just stamp the front half? Gotta build a frame for a channeled truck, and want to some headroom by using tube from the firewall back. ROB
I doubt it very seriously..just buy a set of rails and cut them up,,someone will probably buy the back half to repair a frame. HRP
Contact HOMEMADEHOTROD here on the HAMB he is starting to make some frames and may be able to help you. See his link below http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=775069&showall=1
ASC rails are about 700 bucks or so.. You'll have leftovers but they'll look right. Edit: Now that I think about it you could just use the whole thing but section the rails from the firewall back to the end of the cab. Then you'll still have all that good lookin 32 stuff under the bed...
Agree with HRP on this. There should be almost as many damaged rear frame sections as front. If you end up going this way let me know. I've got a couple of '32 frames that could use a better back half. Frank
Contact Randy Clarke at hotrods&customstuff in Escondido.1800 hotrod5.He may have some left over from his deucesteel frames.
this is going to be an absolutely useless peice of information, but the front '32 frame rails on my deuce avatar were from Kugel's in about 1980... from the firewall forward...
p.m Framewelder on here, His company name is Thunder road rod and custom out of mansfield, ohio. they can fabricate any size length , they built the 1929 ford pickup on the current cover of Rod and Custom magazine. Pat Brewer, or Zach Sickola 419 522 4712 davis
There was a company, and the name slips my mind now, that was making their rails in two halves for easier shipping. Maybe they would just sell the front half.
