So, I was hanging out with the family Christmas Day, cruising the internet and trying to stay out of trouble when I came across this old roadster body that I just had to have...(so much for staying out of trouble !) Anyway, it comes from SoCal and was obviously an old race car, either a lakes car or a drag car, and looks like an early 50’s piece based on the notch in the rear for the minimal roll bar.
Based on the clues, doors welded shut, notched rear for roll bar, tail lights, blue paint, etc does anyone recognize this car ? Supposedly came from a hoarder/collector from Burbank. Would love to scrounge up some history. Thanks guys !

Cool find for sure! Molded cowl might be a clue to its past.

Look under the cowl to see if any holes been filled I get the feeling it may have had a hallock windshield in street trim

And why is there no snow on the ground in NJ?

  5. Hmmm... looking at the angle iron placed where the subrail used to be I looks to have been on another chassis...32 perhaps? Neat find regardless. Do something fun with it.

    I think it’s a 1928-29 Ford I couldn’t resist just fun’n.
I hope you get some real leads and you can put them to good use in its resurrection. I hope there’ll be some build thread in its future.

No info, but I love it.

  8. It looks like something that Indian Mike would have had. He comes up with a lot of early cars, and bodies.
