I'm still need to track down a rear sump pan, but before I put the word out for a stocker, thought I'd ask.

    401 specifically.

    Thanks!

Yeah, I didn't think so. I didn't see one last time I was looking, but I keep seeing more and more aftermarket things becoming available. Maybe one day.

Anybody got a stock one? :)

I'll post up to the classifieds.

    Thanks.

Contact Doug at this address. Best to call. He is going to start making these if he gets enough interest. I recently located a nailhead for him to use as a jig to make the oil pans and valve covers. http://www.propan.net/

As I recall (I'm, getting old), there were two different oil pans for the 401 - a center sump and a rear sump, depending on the year.......or am I screwed up???

You're screwed up anyway, but you're correct as well. :)

I had seen on the nailhead message board a few months ago that some on was going to cast a pan that matched the finned valve covers. So you could have a finned pan to match your covers and valley pan Im bnot sure if they ever got cast.

You're right. Unfortunately I'm stuck with a center sump, and it's causing some "crossmember" issues. I've needed one for a while and I only get to work on this thing a couple times a year. of course I always wait till the last minute to try and track shit down.
