    Translation of hoodprop's post:

    I PLAN on it.

Afterall it is a truck (HERESY! Burn him!)

WHY build something I don't intend to use? (Because it's a HOTROD, got it?)

I plan to use mine for hauling my boys' go karts around, plus other miscellaneous hauling. Sure beats loading stuff into my 6-inch lifted Super Duty.

my freind uses his IHC all the time to haul his latest project or parts victim home , he stayed non v-8 and used a 292 GMC school bus engine for power , and after driving it I was impressed has a boat load of torque to pull what ever he needs to pull . and its souped up too with split manifolds and dual carbs .

  5. i would use a truck as a DD

thats something i always had a passion for, seeing vintage iron on the road being dependable

    Dan:

Ok sorry for the grammer errors. It may be a hot rod but it still has a bed for hauling stuff. I guess hauling chairs and the cooler to local cruise night counts and using.

No worries Dan I dont offend easy. I thought is was funny. I get a kick out of folks who say You hauling that stuff in that truck. I just smile and and go on about the day.

  9. I use my 59 for hauling all the time. I pulled my boat with it this spring, it did it but the old Y block wasn't too happy about it.

It was much happier pulling my teardrop.

It's my only pickup. Usually just hauling parts.
I have brought home groceries and anything else we buy.
When I know I'm going to be hauling small stuff that I can't get wet or leave unguarded at other stops I bring along a plastic truck box and a cable lock.

  20. Parts chaser , bike hauler , bar hopper , mail getter , grocery getter , and transportation . Yes its used .

I don't know why tapatalk notified me of this thread seeing that it's years old. Unless it can read my mind. I was eyeing a 1955 Ford F-500. I have a GMC Topkick parts truck with a 636 cu in Cat turbo diesel. It would be a stretch for HAMB friendliness but it would be a very usable old truck with good brakes steering and power.

This belongs to a friend of mine who cuts firewood. He's always hauling stuff in it- here he's at a car show I put on a few years ago hauling around a flat motor he re-built.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention, he's 75 years old!!

Or to haul a Christmas tree home from the lot.

Just the other day I used it to haul 4 bags of water softener salt home from the store. It comes in handy.
