Do I have to subscribe or can I just make some smart ass comment every now and then?

Hope everyone has a happy what ever and be safe.
You know that's just jealousy talking.

saltflats, when you make one of your so called "smart ass" comments, ikshould automatically subscribe you to that thread, unless you have opted out somehow on that option.
And a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Dogger, what rear gear are you running? Is it enough/not enough? Maybe a guess on your weight. (your car smart ass!) I'm just putting numbers together.

  8. Merry Christmas Dave! The Dodge looks awesome!

Stirring the Salty pot  talk is cheap.

Higgy - the car is 2600 right now and the gear is 5.43 for last season on the 392. This coming season the 467 stroker is going in, so the gear is going back to 4.86. The 5.43 wasn't too bad but man coming off the line 1st gear was gone in no time! I'm hoping the 4.86 will work for 1/8th and 1/4 mile so Jack won't tire of changing gear sets over and over :D

ok, question 1) are you running the standard Hightower 2.92 first gear? 2) are you getting rid of the 5.43 or hanging it over your bench like all those grinding wheels?

  10. The first is 2.907 and for now I plan to keep the 5.43 in case this 467 likes to spin to 9K like the last engine  have my doubts though.

  13. Yeah! More Hemis - they are hard to find but every time I say that, another one shows up. Cabbage got this 392 for $500. We had to cut the rods to get the crank out. It looks like its will be a usable block and crank anyway.

Nice, is this a new SEG in development or street car?

  15. Pete - the purple car in the background is going to be a SEG car with a 392. The 392 for that car is the one that was stolen and recovered. This rusty one is just for spares I guess.

What kind of battery are you using? Do you know anything about or have any experience with the small ones?

The little ones start the car fine but you have to charge them good between rounds. Also you will have to hide it good because they are not era correct for sure. I have one hid in my trunk.
