Pale rider, 2 races in a row ...... as season winds down gonna be tough to beat
It was one of the best southeast gasser races I have been to . Some upsets, some great fender to fender finishes.
Quick & Dirty was running really good. Beating the Spinny car was impressive.
Pale Rider is on a roll.
It was a fun race! I was worried because they don't treat that track all the way to the finish line - but - there's no groove so it's all the same all the way down. It was actually really good. You could just steer the car and keep it driving. Narrow groove tracks have me lane swapping.
Here's a great video from Jason Cole he has a photo link at the end and he shot all the qualifying - which won't be in the Drone South video.
That was great!!!
Tony, you don't have to wait for the other guy to leave first.
How rude! Ladies first.
Great shots from Ian Toucher
Awesome black & white video. What's happened to The White Trash car ?
PS, Q and D is looking good.
Hate like hell to be missing all these events but can't afford to be competitive right now!!
Higgy, you are not alone. There are a few others that are missing races this year, it's All Good. You have a looooong haul to the majority of the races, so it's understandable that you would like to make as many passes as possible. I hope you know that there are people that Love that H Bomb (I'm One)! Later, Carp.
how bout that Mustang(65/66)(young guy) with the yellow window tint?! Haven't seen him in these vids!!
He’s taking a break I guess. Miss that guy.
I hear ya it’s been an expensive year for me too
Racking my brain here- can’t place the car
Caleb will have his photos up tonight. Here’s a Mooresville promo
Here's Caleb's photos :
He was C gas, used to be the pony express car. He has only made a handful of events the past 2 yrs .
sounds like Doug Caps, car was primer gray for a while but he painted it a nice bright red for this season, he's running strong with Huff horsepower but doesn't seem to make many of the races.
Yeah Doug Caps -
Joe was asking who the 2 fellas in the convertible with all the chicks were - Bogan Renfroe and Gene Cromer.
Huh? Reverse rotation engine? or badly adjusted antiroll bar?
I thought you might be in Commerce today. I was rocking the new Q&D T-shirt.
VWs rotate clockwise...the engine is facing back though, so it plants the L/R and lifts the R/F. Technically a reverse rotation differential, if comparing to a front engine car

Well like always had to pull the heads and redo the gaskets. Trying something different on the oil transfer port. The new oil pump is 100psi and it’s forcing oil up out of the head.
Put an o ring in the gasket
As often as you have the heads off, that should work fine.
He had an in-car video a while back and I really liked the way he "beat-the-shit-outta-those-4-gears"! Right foot never lifted. AND he's a FoMoCo guy.
Got the new block on the stand. That almost took a year from finding a block to getting it this far.
And found out why the ignition was sputtering
Water was running through the cowl vent and getting in the MSD box so I sealed the new one.
Skinny bitch!!! That crank looks like it's been on a diet!!
As much as you have the heads off it's too bad you can't use Velcro
Its 15lbs lighter than stock - and hollow!
Were the heads off again? At this point taking the heads off is about like pulling the dip stick. They have a engine protest rule that a competitor can have a head pulled for $300 LOL - finally I can make money at this! Of all the engines out there, I can have the head off in about 10 minutes - don't need to pull the exhaust or injection really. Just undo the linkage and 4 hoses.
That's almost as fast as an underwear change after exchanging some paint with the wall. Impressive!
What time is qualifying for Moorseville? I can't get on SEG WEBSITE
It was at 4pm - man I didn't run into you there but I think you were there. Big crowd and as usual we were messing with the car. I have a few pics on my phone I'll try to load. Friday night seems to be the scatter night for some reason and Saturday seems ok. Moon Rocket lost his brakes and went 1/2 mile off the end of the strip - took out 2 cow fences - one was electric - and almost smacked a heffer. No real damage - they bought a fiber glass kit and fixed it to race on Saturday. Then a motorcycle guy swapped and left his bike at 140MPH - not sure of his status still - wasn't hurt too bad considering - he was in full leathers an all.
