  1. Not quite - he has to go visit some colleges this weekend so he's out. The rear axle / chain doesn't match the chain he was running so that needs sorted out - it doesn't have any brakes and it looks faster o_O

Miss Kim has been feeding that one. She can hand it a carrot, can't pet it though. I have a video where one of them stole my tomatoes right off the vine while I was at work. Bums.

Let me take a couple. Watch this in the mean time:

Glad to see you are getting your smoking problem fixed and getting that belt driven crankcase evacuation system off the car.

Watched the video last night. All the announcer hype about the good smooth racing surface didn't play out so well in racing conditions. Looked like crap to me.......just saying. Keep up the great work Tony. See you guys in Brainerd. Love old Q&D !

On my pass in the left lane, at about 3/4 track, it felt like my sway bar came off!! Might have been getting in my own water(blown head gasket) but it definitely increased my grip on the steering wheel!

  6. Yep - she used to call out BINGO numbers at the senior center so that kind of comes through.
I thought it was sketchy as hell and Gabriel said it was the best track he has been on  If I had to run it again it would be real cautious for sure - you can't leave the groove even a few inches. That was the first race there in 2017 so it had good glue but not a lot of car passes on it so it was real weird to me anyway.

First race there??? Did they just open the place? That would explain the racing surface. Takes a little time to work the surface for most places around here. Glad all the metal is still straight!

  10. I ran my best pass in 2 years in the left lane. I think my car would hook in a mud puddle!

  16. Fun sweaty weekend of pulling elephant motor guts while all my friends were at the Meltdown . Jack got his new go cart running and said - I'll be back - he rode off - never saw him again ;)

The power is out so we did some tailgate ring research .....

    IMG_5524 (1).JPG

So - the doc thinks its not the ONE thing - probably a little out of round and the gaps were a little too big - not bad but loose - the 14# oil rings are on the light side. He's going to torque hone and or the 19# oil tension. He will have it on the Sunnen machine later this week to see if its out of round.

Have Johnny Beechem or Dykem a few bores and have him take a few strokes with the hone while the torque plate is on. That will show how out of shape they may be in.

Enlarged the text to a readable size in that page outta the ring catalog, and it does seem to imply that the special low tension are intended to be used with "vacuum control systems which create a vacuum in the crankcase to assist the oil ring in controlling oil".

  24. Yeah that's what we are thinking - something is on the edge of failure so why ride the hairy edge?

Nice pics you put up Enloe! Looks like it was a good time!
I had my artwork done at 99designs.com they have a contest and artists sketch out some rough ideas. Then you pick the one you like and they finish the design. The shirts were screened by a guy a few blocks away. Think I'm under $10 a shirt cost wise. The crew-chief says I've given enough away that we are in the hole on that deal :D

Tony, tell Jack www.gopowersports.com has manual disk brakes for around 50.00. cheaper than a trip to the ER.
