I remember seeing a 40-41 dodge or Chrysler coupe converted into a truck. I can't seem to find it again though. Anybody have pics of one done?

I hope not, Mopar coupes of that era look best from behind. It seems that the "El Camino" style car/truck conversion was popular in Australia, that might help you find what your looking for.

Some companies made a conversion whicr adapted a load bed which was inseerted into the trunk after the trunk lid was removed. Is this what you are refering to?

It could have been. Or maybe based off that kit. Pretty boxy bed coming up from the trunk.
