Hot Rods dodge 241 hemi exhaust bolts

I have headers on my '53 Dodge hemi, do the attaching bolts penetrate the water jacket? It seems that coolant is "oozing" out around the header bolts.

 

Yes. Into the water. Better to use sealed studs.

 

They had studs when produced.

 

Yes,...use studs and Permatex

 

I used header bolts on mine and haven’t had a problem in 25 years..
