Pic of mine, Thanks to Moose, I chose paint and wheels that were not HAMB friendly, owned this before my HAMB membership/enlightenment, other than that a pretty standard 29 on 32 rails with 32 grill, 355 SBC, TH350, 9"Ford, 3:55 posi, bolt on top, snap in windows, fast little car. My first Hot Rod after my many years racing hobby, I enjoyed this car for 8 + years, then went to a 32 3 window, pics in my albums

What! No pictures of Bud Bryan's R&C 29 highboy?

 

This was Art Hoover's car. It was featured in Rod & Custom March 2008 which I kept handy on my nightstand for years during my roadster build. Because of this car , Art and I became friends via the HAMB. We would talk by phone every couple of weeks. Unfortunately Art pass away last year from lung cancer. We had never met in person ,only with face time ,but we had become good friends.

I love that look, I was eyeballing a 29 roadster in a basket yesterday that was for sale for an honest price that I thought would be a great candidate for just that build.

Mine is a 31 on an A frame but my brothers is almost identical but on a 32 frame...

 

Back in the early ‘80’s (?) there was a black Model A hiboy possibly from Georgia that has always stuck in my mind. It had “the look”, topless, apple green wires, a quikie, (with gauges in the rear cover) and possibly a SBC with a huffer. I have not seen it in 40+ years, could it still exist?

 

Seems like I remember a car at looked like that at the North Atlanta Street Rods show at Stone Mountain, Georgia

That show always had many top notch cars show up. HRP

 

One of the best cars of this genre would be MORTY'S car, Rodzy. I can't find a good picture to post, unfortunately.

 

Forgot all about Rodzy, definitely an iconic 29 High/Lowboy.
