View attachment 4437389 I saw this '57 this past weekend parked at a long time Route 66 favorite, "Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket" in the Chicago suburb of Willowbrook, Il. Of course, I assumed it was a road tripper, then I saw the trunk lid and the line painted showing the way from Los Angeles to Bowling Green. Does anyone know if this car might currently be on a sponsored long haul across the country. Is there a purpose or something done on a whim? You'll notice the 1957-2017 logo also. Color me curious. Had we seen the driver we would have extended some hospitality.
Roger that. Note what it says on the fender, yeh, right. Some don't see this as "sacrilege". Many of us do!
This wasn't meant as a discussion of the appropriateness of the wheels. It goes without saying they don't belong, hell, they shouldn't have been made. As a matter of fact, I fooled with them a little trying to make them palatable to the critics I knew would be coming. I'd just like to get a little info before I delete the pics and help some people save their lunch. If you run across Hank, take your frustrations out on him.
While it would have been difficult to ask the question without it, you're the boss. You gotta do what you gotta do. To all members who see this. Occasionally I'm going to offend some of the membership, but it's not intentional. I won't be critical or a f*****g wiseazz like some. I simply like to post what I think is an interesting photo or use a pic to make a point. I try to watch my step, though.
