Both your stories and car are excellent! (I have relatives in Ct. I hate their weather, they hate our earthquakes).

Please send one to the US for me. Or maybe 30 of them. They would sell well here.

    Hello,

Our house has had a wide variety of decorations from three snowmen/women to decorated trees on the property. There is a giant red/white candy cane as part of the lighting display. It is simple, and to the point with the primary, three snowmen/women. (They are 10-15 years old and are large to small.)

But, for the last 12 years, this family in our neighborhood has holiday light displays turned on from Thanksgiving to after Christmas. We have been taking our granddaughter to this house since she was 1 year old. Every November or December, when she has a sleepover at our house, it is one thing we all do for the holidays. The family that puts up the lights must enjoy all of the cars that drive by during this time. Every year, something new was added to this house’s outside decorations. It was fun to try and see where the family put the “new item” in the massive yard display, yearly.

This year, makes the 13th year of decorations, but the basic ones they put up years ago, have all come down and “never been seen” decorations have popped up in their place. The only thing from last year is the Santa driving the Funny Car/Nascar with smoking tires coming out of the rear, that is still up on the fence. But, everything else is new and it is impressive.

The new items on the fence are: an EMT vehicle with the elves helping, is chasing the big 4x4 driven by a reindeer, chasing Mrs. Claus in her walker, chasing Santa in the Funny Car/Nascar display.

The new stuff in the whole yard and house.

So, we all had to spend extra time pointing out the new stuff and what they were supposed to be doing. We can’t imagine what their massive electric bill must be. But, for those few moments of sitting out in front “oogling” all of the new lights, we have been impressed and will continue to drive by each year. It has become a family tradition of sorts. It is also a beautiful, tasteful display of holiday lights.

Yes, that neighborhood family has won many accolades for the “best” in the local newspapers, but it is the holiday spirit that gets a “little brighter” every year. We, in the neighborhood always appreciate the time and lighting bill that goes along with this holiday display.

It is one of those things that just makes a neighborhood fun to be a part of, during the holidays. Now, after seeing this display, we were/are reluctant to drive over to see other holiday displays in different neighborhoods, even those with digital sounds, coordinated with their holiday lights.

    Good tidings to all…
