I enjoyed following ACME Speed Shop's Road Trip thread and it seems a lot of people like his van. So, we thought we would post a few pictures from the DIVCO Truck Convention which is being held today through Saturday in Springfield, Illinois.

This 1953 truck had a 348 with 6 deuces, 700r transmission, Camaro rear end and was on air bags. The owner had just finished the build. It was really well done.

The black DIVCO with flames was driven from North Carolina and has an Oldsmobile Toronado drive train.
Here are some shots of the rest. There were 11 trucks there.

Cool stuff, I like the Divcos, I wonder if Littleman ever finished his??? I may try to look him up on here to see if hes still around.
That first one looks like a nice build but judging from the colors He must of started on it in the 80s or 90s or was a fan of that era???
    Thanks for sharing!

I would love to have one,I would like to suprise people driving one standing up with the doors open.

  10. We drove it with the doors open, but never really mastered it standing up when standing there is only one pedal about 1/3 of the way down it changes to brake

    Nice trucks.
The Helms Bakerty coach's were Fageol Twin Coach, but Divco did merge with Twin about 1936 or so

Cool to see the white and blue twenty creek truck there. That truck gives out hot chocolate in my small town Christmas parade every year.

Yours is still my favorite, I still love the patina of it and wouldn't touch up any more than absolutely necessary.
Thanks for the reply and sharing the recent pics.

  17. I love Divco trucks. Would love to have one, but I prefer to stay married.

  18. My father has one he would like to sell. He built them in the 70's so he works on them and has a few.

There's one sitting behind an ice cream store at n.74th & Greenwood ave n. in Seattle, a couple blocks south of my shop. They haven't done anything with it for years.
