Bought the Scarebird kit,for 57 buick used 76 Buick Riviera rotors,
2002 astro van front calipers, got the 9" booster from Speedway,
and late Corvette master cylinder. Got everything
installed, took a test drive, brakes work, but not very good.
Checked for info on the booster and found it was a Master
Brake Booster that needs 18" of vacuum which many engines
do not have. Phat Rat says he thought the 1985 Astro van
booster would work out good. It looks like it is 8" diameter
by 6 1/2" deep which I could use. Looking for something not
quite that deep. Does anyone know of a booster that
works with a 2 bolt Corvette master cylinder?
    Thanking you for your help

I'm sure you prolly' know this , but those calipers are known as "low drag" calipers, and take a good volume of fluid to actuate them fully.................Yeech, like an Astro Van master cylinder.
You did not elaborate on the "not very good part.

use all astro parts and you can't miss. newer design is not compatible with 1968 design. get the hydroboost one, they are slick.

not true. the calipers that do this have a twist in the sealing ring that snaps the piston back a few thousandths, not much to make up with the master. The 1985-87 "BK" S10 Tahoe booster is a cherry piece - my pontiac draws 11 inHg at idle and this booster stops quite well. It will also accept your vette master with the right pushrod.

    I have MP M/C & booster. I believe it is a corvette M/C and a dual 7" booster.

Thanks, I stand corrected............................I was thinking about 2 earlier Astro's that I owned, and I was told that was what they were, and the more volume deal..............................Which could be B/S as well.
