Technical DIFFERENTIAL DOLLY FOR EARLY FORD

    Thought i would post a few pics of my differential dolly i made as i get ready to install a Mitchell overdrive: this one is for my model a banger: hope this might help someone if they get the urge to make one: tubing is 1x2" and the small square tubing is 1x1": support plates are 3/16: 3/4" all thread rod for the front support: casters can be what ever you have: it comes apart for storage: sk

    Nice work! I love the unit in my Avatar and use it as an overdrive on the highway and rarely "split shift".

    Thanks. I put four casters on the main dolly so it could be used to move things around. Makes it more versatile. Sk

    yep, the pinion race puller worked: diff is ready to go back in the coupe: had to rebuild the whole rear: lots of patience getting all the preloads right: also fitted a T spring to the rear: sk
