Difference between '37-'41 Ford and Merc spindles?

    Is this era Mercury front suspension basically the same as the Ford counterpart, or did Mercury have their own variations?

    Only reason I ask is that I saw some spindles advertised as for Mercury, and I hadn't really considered there being different parts for these - they looked similar, but are they identical? And what about steering? Torque tubes and rear ends?

    Thanks Eric. I thought they were probably similar as aren't Fords just re-badged as Mercuries in Canada?

    Mercury is American, Meteor is Canadian. We had a '59 that was, depending on where you looked at it, a "Ford Meteor Fairlane Rideau 500"! Drove parts guys crazy!
    My uncle had a Frontenac, basically a Falcon.
