I have a Dunbury Mint Hirohata Merc coming,it has a broken spot light but much cheaper then what they usually go for.
I got me a Danbury Mint 37 GMC p/u on the way,its like the Hirohata Merc that is not perfect and way less then they normally go for.
Got this broken 53 for parts, mine needed a hubcap so I took it off the spare tire. I ended up fixing the broken front suspension and will use model parts to fix the rest of it.
Tuesday's already here again? The Old rt. 66, that's so cool Ed. I been thinking of doing the Radiator Springs town with my grandson. He loves the cars movies. He's only 3 now so I'll probably wait until he's a little older. My older grandson and I built a Disney World diorama when he was about 5. We picked up a monorail on one of our visits to Disney. It had the monorail going though the Contemporary hotel, space ship earth, and a lot of other attractions. I built it on a 4'x8' plywood table. But when they moved, and built a new house. We had to disassemble it. I wish that I had taken some pictures of it. But we did have a lot of fun building it. But I like doing junkyards myself. lol
Awesome diorama! Figured I should share some photos from my own. You can see more on my Instagram, Hotrod_Crazy Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Here are a few from the accumulation..........Item#1 was a large fibreglass bodied car I bought at a yard sale and painted up for a charity auction. The bowling pin is a standard size pin to give an idea of the relative size. #2 is a hand carved model of a Ford sedan delivery by a gentleman named Anthony Trabbic(RIP) that I bought from a friend.I think it may have been one he was working on when he died as another friend has several of his vehicles and they are all finished. #3 is a resin cast model of a dragster in the shape of an electric guitar I bought on e-Bay.Have no idea who made it. #4 was an aluminum promo from the Indy 500 I got at the dedication of the Granatelli Museum in Auburn Indiana. Each table had one and I scored it. #5 is a metal fire truck that is made up of different bar tools. The hoses are swizzle sticks;the bucket is a shot glass and the steering wheel pulls out revealing a corkscrew. #6 is a diecast replica of a midget race car I actually painted. He brought the model for me to letter as well. #7 is a Lucite promo of a T-Bird made for Motorola Corp to advertise the electronics the make for automobiles. The little squares all over the body are actual circuit board made by them and are shown where they are used. #8 is an actual wind tunnel test model made for BMW and one each was given to dealers at a meeting at BMW headquarters in Germany. I got it from the dealer in exchange for striping one of his cars.
Good morning sorry to hear the snow word. Still great cruising weather here. I have a question for you diecast collectors. I don't do eBay. But just find stuff at swap meets. I have a real 56 Nomad. So I found a beat up 1/8th 56 convertible, and 57 Nomad. I built this 56 Nomad from them. So I'm wondering do they make a 1/8th 56 Nomad? Thanks Ron..... Hi Ron, Do you mean 1/18 scale ? I checked e-bay a lot of 1/64 scale but Franklin Mint makes a 1/24 scale one. Ed.
Sorry Ed. yeah I meant 1/8 scale. I've seen the smaller scales too. But I was just curious if someone made an 1/8 scale too? As the one I made is a little rough. Thanks Ron......
Making this Budwiser beer truck into a flatbed,it came with broken suspension so I an doing this to lighten it up some. While I was removing the lettering I done it to a truck from the Speedway gas stations.
