DIE CAST TUESDAY - WEEKLY

Discussion in 'The Antiquated' started by edcodesign, Mar 28, 2017.

  1. The grandkids and I are on a little road trip. They always have a few Hot wheels in their pockets, and so do I. Lol. I took their picture at this satue of liberty before. This time I lined up their Hot Wheels, for a diecast Tuesday photo. 20180731_105059.jpeg 20180731_105438.jpeg

I found these old Hot Wheels and a Tomica Winnebago at a garage sale.Scratched and dirty, they were far from collector grade,so I re painted and polished the Baron and touched up the Winne. Here they are as I got them. [IMG]

Here's the Deora II made into a flash drive. The original Deora was a 1964 commissioned design by Harry Bentley Bradley, and based around a much-modified Dodge A100. It was unveiled at the Detroit Autorama in 1967... and won lots of awards, including the Ridler. The original car spawned a Hot Wheels release in 1968.

The Deora II went the other way around... it was first designed as a Hot Wheels car, released in 2000. And then in 2003, Chip Foose unveiled a full size Deora II.

image.png Anyone ever restore one of these Hubley 1954 Corvettes? They are about 12" long, and look like there are screws holding them together. Just wondering if they come apart enough to be able to restore them fairly easy?

  11. Yeah Deuce, that's what caused the accident. I was passing it in the T roadster, and was in his blind spot. He's in the green shirt. But I didn't make it. 20170912_154452.jpg 20170606_225623.jpg 20170221_144230.jpg 20170609_111243.jpg 20170606_225726.jpg Buckey that's a great collection! I like Buicks too.:) Ron...

I have a hard time keeping the grandsons out of them. I had to get them some Buick hot wheels and Johnny Lightning cars to play with. They are old enough now to know mine are off limits to play with and they take really good care of the ones I bought them. The youngest one(3 1/2) even made up a "I luv PawPa's Buicks song". He has me get on eBay to look at toy Buicks and always talks me into ordering one for him. The older ones like to find any kind of Buick toy car to get me for Christmas and my birthday. The 15 year old boy is bugging me to let him drive my 66 Gran Sport, it never ends with these kids but I wouldn't have it any other way!!

I always look for your pictures of your models and toys, we seem to have a lot in common. I didn't take pictures of most of the late 60's and 70's cars to keep the cry babies from reporting me for off topic car pictures.

  16. Here's a gas pump I found this weekend. It was only $3 dollars. We did the route 11 yard crawl. Miles of COOL OLD junk. A lot of fun, and a yearly event.:) 20180814_081848.jpeg 20180814_081620.jpeg

  27. Whaaaaaa? No Tuesday Diecast yet this week? OK, here are a couple of Hot Wheels survivors from the '90s along with my Ace Fastener Corp "Pilot" Model 402 stapler from the '50s. Yes it still works, a lot better than the new plastic crap of today. :p
