Good Tues. morn to all. Is this a antique or repop ? Took a shot at it in a junk shop, has wooden wheels. I think it's condition is too nice to be old, paid $5, thanks.
Ed, That's cool and a good buy! Even if its a re-pro, restored , or an original you did good. I just buy stuff that I like, and if the price is right. That's all that really matters. I opened a few more of my birthday presents, and played with them. Ron....
Everyone's stuff looks good .....my stuff for this Tuesday.....not so good....all I managed to bring home recently has been just some old Crusty Rusty's....but they could be something....older.. crustier...and rustier...but I did find a old glass battery case at my brother's shop last week..... I thought I would do a desk top sunken old car fish tank diorama type thing ... I liked the one that I believe Ron did and possibly others that were done....see what happens...till next time.. Picked up the Greenlight Shasta trailer recently, and and after adding some vintage cone wheelcovers, had to pose it with another diecast:
Found a couple more old TootsieToy cars. Did a little JB Weld repair, lowered and painted the 40. Gave the 32 a new windshield and a little paint work.
I saw my friend, Sam Davis, former pilot of the "Freight Train" top gas dragster, last Saturday. He gave me this complete, un built Hubley roadster kit. I have pieced together 13 Hubley models from parts and pieces scrounged at swap meets and yard sales, but I have never had a complete kit with the original box. I love these because the scale is 1:20, the same as my trains.
