  2. How about a tow truck for Thursday. I built this one from a Hubley station wagon. I have been collecting Hubley parts and pieces for 25 years. They are 1:20 scale, perfect for the 1:20 scale trains I model. I've never bought a kit in the box. I have 10 or 12 complete Model A's and 32 Chevy's all put together from swap meet and yard sale parts. I just wish Hubley would have done a '29 RPU.;)

  4. Dean, that's one cool tow truck. I really like the old hubleys too. Like you, I find them at swap meets. I'm not at home today. So I'll post a few pictures from my cellphone. Hopefully their not repeats. And Ed, this is a before shot of your 3 window. lol Ron... 20170725_074354.jpg 20170725_074450.jpg

Nice to see the IH Loadstar being put to good use above. I recently cleaned this one up. It needs some junk in the back.

Here's one I just got at an Estate Sale for a whopping Ten Bucks... it is polished cast aluminum, looks sorta' like a early 40's GM of some sort, and 10' long. sedan.jpg

I was inspired by this thread to dig out some of my old diecasts from when I was a kid. They're nearly all British (Corgi, Matchbox and Budgie) so they may be something different for a lot of the followers of this thread.

First up Wild Honey Dragster from Corgi. Corgi Toys were manufactured in Northamptonshire (England) and their designers made several trips to Santa Pod Dragstrip to photograph and measure up real dragsters. These were really popular and captured the essence of UK drag racing in the late sixties/early seventies. I have also included an image of the original Wild Honey Dragster. The last of my Corgi Dragsters, the Santa Pod Glow Worm. This was (allegedly) the UK's first 'proper' funny car. IMG_2498.JPG

I note some interest in breakdown trucks (wreckers), so here's a couple from my youth.

    Scott,
Love this one! Can you tell me more about the mfg, date made, item number? Are they still available on line or at swap meets? Got a spare you'd sell? Thanx, Gary
