did the 57-60 F100s have the 9 inch ford rears?

Here soon i'm gonna finally go up and haul my 60 F100 down from North Ala. to South Fl. and i was wondering if they had the 9 inch ford rear?mines a 292 Y block V8 with the 3 speed what type of trans i have no idea.

 

My 57 F100 had a 9 inch in it,& so did my friends '59.
Both had 292s in em,until I got crazy & put a 428 Cobra Jet motor in mine.
Damn I miss that truck.

My old 58 with a 6 popper had a 9".

 

Sweet man. I too have a 57. Its a big window wide bed. Someday it will get a 390 and a top loader.

The 9 inch came out in 57.

 

I have a 58 with the 223 6cyl and it has a 9 incher
as a matter of fact i pulled the rear end out today and went through
it, going back in tomorrow and adding a flip kit to lower it

 

My 60 came from Henry with a 223 3speed and 373 spicer style rear axle. Most 57-60 Ive seen have been 9 inchers
