Look in late 50s and early 60s Ford big trucks and school buses as some had the Lincoln Y blocks too,57 was the last year for the car to get that motor but they used them in the big trucks up to around 64 like with the Ford y block.

Those seats look as comfy now as the day they were tailored! No mouse nests or anything.I never find anything with salvageable upholstery. I sympathize with you on getting it running quickly, one cars are apart and up on stands, they tend to stay that way.

Well i will try and turn wrenches as much as I can but this is also a learning process too! I plan on learning a lot but its my boyfriend who really knows what he is doing, and he is slowly teaching me. I have learned so much so far so I am really excited.

Great project. The 54 Lincoln Capri is my favorite car. I had one years ago and had to sell it but as fate has it the guy that bought it just called me wanting to sell it back to me. It is a project like yours and seeing yours got me all excited to go get mine back. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Just got a new Kanter catalog and they have front disc brake kits and front suspension rebuild kits for the 54 Lincolns now. Might be a place to check out for parts down the road.

I love where this build is going. Please get the Connolly hide food, it is the most amazing product for leather ever concieved. Kim's sweet ride is sure some inspiration. So happy to see another gal in the car game, you are a beautiful addition. Best wishes on the project. ~sololobo~
