I think di-noc is a 3M copywright isnt it? If you can find a decent body shop, auto tinting, or "euro speed" type shop I would think they can get it for you. Mylar, like reg sheet mylar? you could get at a high end sign supply shop
Yes, go to your local sign shop. They have ALL KINDS of weird vinyls now. Most won't have a shine like automotive paint, but maybe some will. Maybe check and see if 3M has some samples on a website. They are the high-price manufacturer of sign vinyl. A word of caution: Get a pro to apply it if you want a large area covered. It is not easy to do and will be full of bubbles if done incorrectly. Edit: Go here for some samples http://www.signsupply.com/Vinyl/Vinyl_Vending_Machine.asp Look at the different brands in their "specialized" lines.
Some lose the "chrome" effect when cleared over....also watch out for some thats only good for 6 months or so. The good stuff is "somewhat" good for a couple years. So stay away from the cheap stuff....lol
i need some of this too,,,,i'm looking for the textured gold stuff myself,,,if you find a source nads, please PM me.
http://www.midwestsign.com/ These guys are distributors to the trade. If they cannot help you directly they will point you to one of their accounts that can help with small quantities.
