I have an original closed car windshield frame and need to know how to remove the hinges and pivot posts. I have removed the 3 screws from one hinge with heat, lubrication and an impact driver but cannot shift the hinge! There are 4 slots in the hinge- do these key into the frame? Don't want to belt into it too much as the frame is only light gauge steel.

Anyone got any info or suggestions or had any experience with this problem?

A couple of the frames I've had not only had the screws, but the hinge plates were spot welded to the frame--might want to check for that.

That was what I was thinking Dak Rat and why I didn't belt into it too much and why I'm now asking this question on here. Anyone else had any experience with this?
