I don’t want to side track this great thread but I need some schooling. I’ve been trying to put together a 32 grill and insert for one of my Model As for some time now. I found an original shell a few years ago and have been looking for an insert. A friend is working on a 32 and has an original insert loose so I took my shell over to see how it fit, the attached picture. The insert is rounded along the bottom where my shell comes to a point. Looking at all the pictures in this thread I see several rounded and pointed shells being called out as originals. My question is did Ford have different grille shapes in 32? Different months, models, countries? Why the difference?

    Thanks,
    PAracer

Are you sure it’s a 32 CAR shell?
Just guessing. Could be a truck shell??

I have had 32 Shells like that and with close inspection you could see that section was rolled under, if you get my lingo.

  15. Rick, the truck insert and shell is a one piece and the shape is slightly different.

The one on the left is a passenger car grille shell, the one on the right is a truck. HRP upload_2018-2-28_12-49-14.jpeg
