Technical Desoto hemi intake id

Anyone ever seen one of these intakes around, very odd looking, any inputs on what the extra bosses are for on the sides?

Possibly a dual purpose casting. Looks like those outboard bosses were for a blower mount.

 

Yep those extra bosses look like they would work to bolt a GMC 4-71 blower to it.

 

Hence the c471 number I guess, I'm not sure if it's chrysler or desoto but it's up for grabs on that auction site, not mine by the way,

I saw it there too. Its seems a bit high for me, but who knows.
