OH man that sucks.Drunk drivers ,cell phones and text messaging while driving are not a good combination. We get a lot of customers in the body shop from the above.I hope Dustin gets through this OK.Cars are replaceable ,people are not.

Yikes, sorry to hear. Prayers go out to Dustin for a speedy and painfree as possible recovery.

  6. Unrelated but someone on a Harley was killed yesterday on my way to work after being t-boned by a car. The driver of the car ran a red light. Most likely on a cell phone.

And here I am with no license for the next 60 days because I failed to get my truck inspected for the last 2 years (7 tickets).

    Speedy recovery Dustin!

I don't think either party involved was drunk, in any case still a super bad deal. hopefully dustin can make a full recovery.

Depends on what "scene" you're asking about...

It rains every day here...we have tornadoes as well...hail too...

Too damned many people moved here already, place is growing like weeds in an abandoned junk yard...almost as big as LA now...and in the winter it snows, big time and it gets cold...and those people that moved here from places that never had snow have no idea 4 wheel drive vehicles cannot stop on a dime...

Housing prices are up, taxes are up, gasoline prices are going down...

Other than that, the car 'scene' is alive and well...

    Speedy recovery Dustin...

Speedy recovery from me as well...

Seems like it gets more dangerous out there every year with the new cars basically only requiring "stab and steer" allowing any idiot to basically maneuver through traffic.

Cell phones, texting and now the internet on I-Phones is making it way better yet.

Dustin was literally run over by a nineteen year old kid making a left hand turn. The kid was driving a Jimy and was not drunk.

Dustin was driving his mother’s roadster. He grew up in a rodding family. He has a 34 yellow Dodge pick up and his father has a black one.

Dustin is in ICU with massive head trauma. I am home today reworking the flyers for our 10th anniversary cruise August 22nd at crown lanes to include a live auction. Dustin’s father restores gas pumps and we will be auctioning one off as well as other donated items.

If you would like to donate an item please send me a PM. It will be a long rehab and he will need some funds to get through it.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated and needed at this time.

Please drive defensively here is a thread of another friend that fell victim of another idiot making a left turn.

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=369159

I should have the flyer posted under events by end of the day.

Sorry to hear this of course. You'd think flames on a black car would be easy enough to see, eh? Gary

Wow. Prayers go out to him and his family. I hope he makes a full recovery. He's lucky to have even survived through an accident with that kind of damage.

distracted driving is taking more and more lives each day..teach your kids to stay off the dam phone and eyes on the road..

a car full of kids died (locally) 6 or 7 kids in a small ford sedan went around the rail gates at a train crossing..Amtrac at 70MPH took em all out..impatience..the driver couldnt wait for it to pass..had to try and beat it..well it didnt turn out the way he had anticipated
    Sad..

So scary to see wrecked hot rods... Robert Williams told me once "You know these things just come all apart when they get hit"

WOW. You look at what that crash did to tear the header apart or mangle the wheel or door, and then try to imagine a persons arm, leg or, in this case, head taking the blow...

I don't even know what to say other than to offer prayers...

  30. As bad as the car looks he is lucky to be alive>
    Prayers for a speedy recovery
