Deleted thread

Will somebody please tell me why my thread entitled "Car Tattoos" got deleted? I'm confused. Are tattoos porn? I read the rules but I can't figure it out. I tried to respond to the PM but it was not allowed. I'm not trying to start shi*, I'm just curious.

 

i just posted a few pics before it was shut down. I am wondering why as well.

 

probably stretching the car topic a bit ...jmho....

 

Most threads like that get shut down simply because they stray away from tradition hotrods and customs.
Even if they were of car's, it's still more culture than it is machine.

I was wondering myself.

 

There are several tattoo thread that get to stay up and this one was car related so I think it should have stayed up. I was looking forward to getting some ideas for some tattoo work that I am going to have done.

Kerry, i don't have the answer for why this one's gone and other's have stayed..
I have seen a good many of them go away very fast, so maybe the other's just slipped through the cracks.

 

go through several pages of threads and read the ones that have been closed. many will have you scratching your head as to why.

tattoos, rockerbilly, dickies pants and hair goo have nothing to do with HOT RODS and Custom cars. car tattoos would be borderline.

this will prolly be closed/deleted too.

Just depends on the mood of the nazi,,, er, I mean moderator that's patroling at that particular moment.

I mean that as a joke. I realize the mods here have one hell of a job keeping thousands of hoodlums on good behavior, but I also feel they shut down a LOT of threads that dont need to be.

But, I dont pay the light bill, so who am I to say.....

I would actually argue that those thing are very connected but hey, I'm the one that got deleted.

Depends who starts the post as far as I'm concerned. I'm not trying to stir crap but in the short time I've been here I've seen some posts stay that had no business staying but they were started by long-time members and I've seen some disappear that were reasonable as far as many were concerned.
I've only ever started one thread and that was a question that was answered quickly and politely.
I don't have the money to pay for an alliance membership at this time so I can't gripe or expect too much anyway.

I wouldn't want the job of choosing what stays and what goes. Can't please everyone.

Planes.
Later-than-the-cutoff-date BWM "gasser" wannabees. Neat but doesn't follow the rules!
AMBR streetrods (ya ya it's a roadster... a streetrod on a traditional forum!)
Jobs wanted.
Relays wanted.
Interesting? Yes. Helpfull? In some cases. Traditional hotrod threads. Nope.
Ah... culture versus machine? Don't think so.

By the way.. I have no tats but LOTS of scars.

 

i sold a car identical to that in albq nm last year.used to be purple,i painted it back green and white.
