Wow, just wow. Craig Naff is the ruler. I saw it at Detroit and couldn't stop taking pics of it. Wish SEMA was in the cards just so I could see it. Thanks for posting this.

Amazing work. But did I hear the "B" word? I'm surprised this car won't debut at Detroit and contend for the Ridler... wasn't that award origionally for race cars?

i could live to be an age that would make Methuzalah seem like a mere lad and work every day of that life at shaping metal and still not have one iota of the talent that Dan holds in his little pinky. A true genius...

I can't wait to get to SEMA to check out this completed work of art.

Does anyone know which exhibitor will be the "chosen one?"

  16. hemifarris, thanks for the latest pictures. An amazing piece of art - each detail shows the vision and skill of the builder, Dan Webb. No doubt we will see more photos when it is completed and driven on a track - Indy comes to mind.

Dan showed the in-progress work at the Detroit Autorama and, as I understand it, the Ridler Award is for cars that have never been shown in public, so the car is not eligible. To me it is so totally cool to blow everything else out of the water and yet have no interest in trophies. How could you ever award a trophy that would do this masterpiece justice?

And as for raising the bar, hardly, Dan and Craig just invented a new bar.:)

Wow! It is almost a shame to cover up that chassis though....I stared at it forever when it was at Detroit.

and this was built for the love of the Automobile, the racer, and all that is cool about when Men were Men and the brave were honored, and driving wasn't just for latte sipping cell phone chatting asshats in a top heavy road hogging topheavy dangerous thing ruining the roads for what they were meant for...
