Hot Rods Dan Iandola

With the FAST Santa Margarita California time trials just around the corner I thought it might be fun to share some memories about Dan Iandola. Dan was one of the original FAST group.

 

Hope some photos of his cars and engines get posted. I never got to meet him but his name was often mentioned in 4Banger related stories. Bob

I didn't know him, but reading his article on four banger's in the late sixties/early seventies Rod & Custom is what first piqued my interest in four barrels...

Here is one of his slant 6 to A/B adaptors.

 

In 2001 Rod and Custom magazine named Dans article, "Getting more from your 4" (May 1970) as one of the top 20 most important articles in the history of the magazine. I'd say it's top five easy.

 

I recently bought one of his manifolds, however, it seems modified (polished and stud for linkage removed) according to above picture.


Looking forward to put it on an engine in a no-longer-so-distant future!

Does anyone know how old, this might be?
