70°F and sunny here in the Southern Hemisphere. Summer is agreeably late this year. My wife and I are winter people, so as far as we're concerned it can just skip through to autumn again.

It's been 4 weeks since we have had any measurable precipitation in North Texas. However, we still have a surplus of rain from earlier in the year. It's really not necessary this time of year with Fall in full force, but the problem is when it sets into raining, it will rain for weeks on end. Been here 60 years and have seen the whole month of November with barely a full day of sunshine some years. That concludes this weather report......

That blows. Southern Ontario it's still low 60s but rainy and windy. But we all know snow is eventually coming. That picture reminded me of when I took my kids out for holloween back in the early nineties during a snow storm.

Think positive. At least it came later than last year.

I think we should move this to the event cancellation thread and cancel winter!

Well that is a reminder that I need to get the snow blower going. That 350 ft driveway doesn't shovel it's self but I did retire two years ago and don't have to get out and shovel it to get out to go to work.

  22. I was negligent in my last post in this thread. I posted some pictures that weren't in keeping with the theme of this forum. My bad.

The gist of my post was that after almost 2 weeks of poor weather 95% of our snow was gone (only traces of snow in some ditches) A group of us took the day and cruised to a spot where we could enjoy each others company and conversation, enjoy a couple of cold beverages and a great 65* afternoon. For our part of the world, to be lucky enough to get out in November is fairly rare. A lot of us have already put our rides away for the season so there were only 4 cars in attendance.

I had almost talked the missus into moving south for a warmer climate many years ago. Then along came the first grandchild and we're not moving anywhere.

I'm left with the old guy privilege of simply bitching about the weather.

That would most definitely not be California.
Smart people are leaving there in droves.

California would be great without all these people.
