Dallas tx need to press on some bearings

Hoping the hamb can help me out. I have new bearings for my 57 Chevy rear axle that is going under my 54. I was hoping someone near Plano had a press I could use for a few minutes to press on the bearings. Any help would be appreciated .. Thanks John

Don't know about Texas but the local NAPA here has a shop that does this type of work. HRP

 

Get yourself a pipe with the inside diameter that just fits over the axle. This and a heavy hammer and voila' a home press.

 

Thanks I called the one here last week the kid that answered the phone said "napa was not a mechanic shop just a parts store!" So I'm guessing that one did not do it .. I'll try a few others tomorrow .. John
